Nothing feels better than having games, toys, and books that resonate with our clients, but what do we do when all our resources become overwhelming and disorganized? Therapy can be so fast paced that it is vital to have a system that works for us when it comes to organizing therapy materials. Below are some helpful tips to get started with organization:
- Mesh Zipper Bags
Using Mesh zipper bags is a great way to contain many small pieces together. These bags can also be used for disassembling games and storing in a different container. Oftentimes games such as Pop the Pig and Pop Up Pirate are go-to games that get used multiple times daily. While the original packaging for these games might look nice, they can be a bit oversized. When you are low on space, putting the game pieces all together into a mesh zipper bag is a great alternative! You might also use these bags for puzzles, worksheets, and themed activites.
- Clear Shoeboxes
Sensory bins are a fun activity to do that pairs speech and language goals with tactile involvement. Clear shoeboxes are an effective way to store activities such as sensory bins to be able to close the lid, store, and reuse later.
